Answers to common questions about DiveLocker.ai.

Getting Started

Click "Log Dive" in the navigation bar. Fill in your dive details and save. You can add buddy, gear, and conditions later.

Go to Photos and click Upload. Select one or more photos from your device. Photos are automatically matched to dives based on their timestamp.

Yes! DiveLocker.ai supports Shearwater dive log imports — both CSV exports and .db files. Go to Settings > Import and upload your dive computer export. UDDF imports are also supported.

Photos: JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, and TIFF. Dive imports: Shearwater CSV, Shearwater .db, and UDDF.

Dives & Trips

Trips group your dives by destination. Create a trip, then add dives to it. Great for organizing multi-day dive vacations.

You can create trips manually from the Trips page. DiveLocker.ai also automatically groups Shearwater imports into trips based on dive location and date gaps — when you import a Shearwater file, you will see suggested trip groupings before saving.

Yes! When logging a dive, select "Freediving" as the activity type. You can log individual freedives or sessions with multiple dives.

DiveLocker.ai supports SCUBA, freediving, snorkeling, and technical diving. Each has tailored fields for the activity type.

Search for a dive site by name or drop a pin on the map. DiveLocker.ai uses Mapbox satellite imagery so you can pinpoint reef and wreck locations precisely.

Yes! When logging or editing a dive, search for buddies by username. They will be linked to the dive and visible on your shared dive log.

Photos

Go to Photos to see all your uploads. You can filter by dive, trip, date, or favorites. Click any photo to see it full-screen with editing tools.

Click the heart icon on any photo to mark it as a favorite. Favorites are accessible from the Favorites filter on the Photos page.

Yes. Select photos and click Delete. Deleted photos are moved to trash and permanently removed after 30 days. You can restore them before that.

Yes! DiveLocker.ai supports video references for your dives. Upload short clips from the Videos tab on any dive detail page.

Yes! Pro users can bulk upload photos. Select multiple files from the upload dialog and they will be queued and processed automatically.

Gear & Equipment

Go to Gear from the navigation. Add your equipment with brand, model, and purchase details. Link gear to dives to track usage and maintenance schedules.

Certifications track your training credentials (PADI Open Water, SSI Advanced, etc.). Gear tracks your physical equipment (BCD, regulator, mask, etc.). Both are managed from your profile.

All major agencies: PADI, SSI, NAUI, SDI/TDI, BSAC, RAID, GUE, IANTD, CMAS, and more. You can also add custom agencies if yours is not listed.

Account & Data

DiveLocker.ai has a free tier with basic features: 10 photo uploads, dive logging, certifications, and statistics. Upgrade to Pro for 500 photos, 25 AI credits per month, and more.

Yes. Go to Settings > Data to export your dives, photos, and profile data. We support JSON export for full data portability.

Yes! Go to Settings > Preferences and toggle between metric and imperial. All depths, temperatures, and weights will display in your preferred units.

Click your avatar in the top-right, then "Send Feedback." We read every message and use your input to improve DiveLocker.ai.

Yes! Add an avatar, cover photo, bio, and featured dives. Choose what is visible to other users via the Privacy settings. Pro users get additional profile features.
